After many years as a corporate lawyer, I made a deliberate shift toward what has always inspired me most: interior design. That transition was not just a career change, but a commitment to creating spaces that feel deeply personal, thoughtful, and enduring.

In today’s market, many homes are built or renovated with a similar, often impersonal aesthetic. My work is rooted in the belief that a home should feel distinctly yours. I partner closely with clients to design spaces that are not only beautiful, but also layered, intentional, and reflective of how they truly live.

I am particularly drawn to elevating everyday environments, transforming them into spaces that feel considered and original. Having grown up in the Netherlands, where living spaces tend to be smaller and more intentional, I developed an early appreciation for efficiency, balance, and smart design. That perspective continues to inform my approach today.

 

Now based in Washington, DC, my work is also shaped by having lived and traveled extensively across different cultures. This global perspective allows me to bring a refined, collected sensibility to each project.
